Cooking Desserts with O3 Chia Premium recipes

O3 Premium Chia can become part of your delicious desserts and bakes. Although, we recommend staying away from refined sugar and flour, there may be room for a dash of chia seeds in those sweets. Remember that chia seed does not modify odor or taste of food, it does not need to be washed or sanitized, simply add chia seeds directly from its green bag. Here are a couple of recipes to inspire you to bake with chia seeds so you can enjoy the benefits of chia.

Pan de centeno con chía

RYE BREAD WITH O3 PREMIUM CHIA

Ingredientes:
  • 750g rye flour
  • 30g yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 400ml warm water
  • 1 pzca de azucar
  • Goat cheese
  • 5 tablespoons of O3 Premium Chia
Preparación:
  1. Sift the flour and salt into a bowl. Mix sugar with yeast, continuing to mix with warm water and adding on flour.
  2. Mix until a dough is firm and sticky.
  3. Prepare the work surface in the kitchen and sprinkle flour. Place the dough on it and start kneading until elastic and shiny.
  4. When the dough is ready, form a ball and place in the deep bowl you used. Cover with plastic wrap and let stand until it proof double in volume 1-2 hrs.
  5. Press the dough with your finger to see if it is ready, and if your finger mark remains briefly it is ready. Knead it again and form a ball which you will cover with a cloth, let it stand 15 more minutes. After this time form the ball again and cover with a cloth.
  6. Allow dough to proof again until it doubles in volume (approx. 1 hr.), then you can prepare bread for baking.
  7. Give it the form you want and make a few scores on the surface.
  8. The oven should be preheated to 220 °C and you should put a bowl with water to add moisture. Insert the bread and after 20 minutes take the water out.
  9. Reduce heat to 190 ° C and keep it for the remainder of cooking time (approx. 15 min)
Pan de muerto con chía

BREAD OF THE DEAD WITH CHIA

Ingredientes:
  • 500 g wheat flour
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon instant yeast
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 orange zest
  • 9 tablespoons of O3 Premium Chia
  • 250 g butter
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted for dish presentation and 200 g sugar for dusting.
Preparación:
  1. In a bowl mix flour, sugar, salt, chia and yeast. Pour on a table and forming a cavity in the center.
  2. Add the mix of eggs with orange zest to the center of the source and start kneading.
  3. As it forms a sticky dough, pour the cempazuchitl water slowly while vigorously kneading. (It will take approximately 20 minutes to achieve a homogeneous elastic dough)
  4. Incorporate butter to batter at room temperature and cut into small cubes. Continue kneading until the dough takes off working surface.
  5. Place batter in a bowl and let it proof placing it in a warm, moist place for about an hour or until it doubled in size.
  6. Cut dough in proportions of the size of a fist. Take one portion and begins to to bowl holding it with one hand and turning the dough firmly until obtaining a rounded piece. Place the piece on a lightly floured baking sheet and with the palm of your hand flatten it.
  7. Cut two small pieces of dough and roll them with one hand and fingers partly opened to form the "legs" which will represent the skeleton. Place one on the bread and form one more which will be placed crosswise.
  8. Finish by forming the loaves, take a small portion of dough and give it a round shape and place it at the center.
  9. Let the loaves stand in a warm, moist place for 30 minutes to acquire their final size.
  10. Preheat oven and bake for 15 minutes at 200 ° C / 395 ° F until golden brown. Upon leaving the oven, glaze them with melted butter and sprinkle with enough sugar.
Nieve de mango con chía

MANGO ICE CREAM WITH CHIA

Ingredientes:
  • 1 lt natural yoghurt
  • 4 ataulfo mangoes, diced
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • ¼ Water
  • 2 envelopes natural gelatin
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons O3 Premium Chia
Preparación:
  1. Mix the gelatin in a cup of boiling water.
  2. Blend or whisk the gelatin with water, mango, chia, yoghurt, lemon and condensed milk.
  3. Pour into a bowl. Put in the freezer until the consistency is of ice cream.
  4. Garnish with low calorie chocolate syrup and chia .
  5. NOTE: Remove and whisk occasionally to prevent from large crystals of ice are formed, and after a few hours you will have a delicious ice cream Bon appetit!
Paletas de queso con chocolate y chía

CHEESE LOLLIPOOS WITH CHOCOLATE AND CHIA

Ingredientes:
  • 1 package cream cheese, softened
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons O3 Premium Chia
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 8 oz whipped cream
  • 2 oreos with peppermint, finely chopped
Preparación:
  1. In a large bowl (use an electric mixer) beat cream cheese and sugar on medium-high speed until smooth and creamy. Add vanilla, mint and chia, beat until well blended scraping sides of bowl if necessary.
  2. Using a plastic spatula add the whipped cream until thoroughly incorporated into the cream cheese mixture.
  3. Add mint chocolate cookies.
  4. Using a pastry bag, incorporate the mixture into popsicle molds. Once the molds are filled, gently tap the mold base to help release air pockets. Freeze for a few hours.
  5. Garnish each lollipop with a covering of chocolate.
  6. NOTE: If you have trouble releasing Popsicle molds, pass them quickly by hot water.
Yogurt de fresa con chía

STRAWBERRY YOGURT WITH CHIA

Ingredientes:
  • 1 cup frozen strawberry yoghurt
  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced
  • 8 cherries
  • 1 teaspoon of cherry juice
  • 1 tablespoon O3 Premium Chia
Preparación:
  1. In a blender combine all ingredients well.
  2. Serve in a glass and garnish to taste with a cherry or a slice of strawberry.
Pudín de chocolate con chía

CHOCOLATE PUDDING WITH CHIA

Ingredientes:
  • 3 tablespoons O3 Premium Chia
  • 3/4 cup soy milk / almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preparación:
  1. In a bowl mix all ingredients, be sure to mix well.
  2. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes and serve.
  3. When serving you can add cranberries, blueberries, raspberries or blackberries some of your choice.

MANGO PUDDING WITH COCONUT

Ingredientes:
  • ½ cup light coconut milk
  • ½ cup almond milk, unsweetened
  • 3/4 cup mango, diced
  • 2 tablespoons O3 Premium Chia
  • 1 tablespoon mango, grated, sweetened
  • 4-6 drops of liquid honey stevia
Preparación:
  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Mix the ingredients well and cover the container.
  3. Refrigerate overnight or at least 5-6 hours.

  3. Pour into a bowl. Put in the freezer until the consistency is of ice cream.
  4. Garnish with low calorie chocolate syrup and chia .
  5. NOTE: Remove and whisk occasionally to prevent from large crystals of ice are formed, and after a few hours you will have a delicious ice cream Bon appetit!
